Scott E. Gehr

Scott Gehr, 57, of Albion, passed away at his residence on Sunday, April 23, 2017.  Scott was born in Erie, PA, on October 25, 1959, son of Edward Gehr and his wife, Wilma, of Richmond, TX, and Barbara Swanson of Albion.  Scott was a graduate of Northwestern High School and was a union laborer for Laborer’s Local #603 out of Erie.  Scott was a member of the Albion Moose Club and the Edinboro/McKean VFW Post #740.  He was an All-State selection in football.  Scott enjoyed golfing, hunting and bowling.  In addition to his parents, Scott is survived by his sister, Shelby Field and her husband, Frank Sr., of Conneautville, two nieces, Sarah Ford and her husband, Devin, of Springboro, and Holly Field of Conneautville, and a nephew, Frank Field Jr. and his wife, Sarha, of Crossingville.  Calling hours will be held at the Mattera Funeral Home, 188 East State Street, Albion, on Wednesday from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.  A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Duk Hee Han officiating.  Burial will follow in Albion Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.  To send flowers, light a memory candle or leave a condolence, please visit
